Our path to a sustainable future.

Here you will find an overview of our sustainability strategy and our commitment.

CERO2WASTE

The Büchl climate strategy

Our concrete reduction target is: At least 50% less GHG emissions by 2028*(BEW) at the latest. How we do this: By avoiding and reducing GHG emissions, by generating renewable energy and with climate protection through recycling. Further information on Cero2Waste can be found here.

*Target refers to all Scope 1 and 2 emissions of BEW as well as energy upstream chains (Scope 3).
Other indirect emissions in Scope 3 are not part of the climate target.

Our strategy

Sustainability at Büchl

The BÜCHL Group’s sustainability strategy is a key element of the overall corporate strategy. The areas of action and focus topics are specified and implemented by the subsidiaries at an operational level. The mandate for our sustainability management:

DNK: BÜCHL Sustainability

The German Sustainability Code

The BÜCHL Group reports regularly to the German Sustainability Code (DNK) and publishes a so-called DNK declaration. You can find the full version of our DNK declaration HERE. We also produce a compact summary of this detailed DNK declaration: “Sustainability at BÜCHL Compact” as a sustainability report.

INAS: BÜCHL Sustainability

Institute for Applied Sustainability

At our in-house institute, INAS, we pool our expertise in sustainability and climate management. Through the INAS Institute, we also help our clients to develop sustainability strategies, introduce management systems and sustainability reports in accordance with recognized standards (DNK, CSRD/ESRS).

Social commitment

BÜCHL Foundation

"Humanity in action is reflected in social commitment, in helping those in need and in supporting projects that aim to make life in this world a little bit better. And it is precisely this kind of helpfulness that has always been important to the Büchl family."

Dr. Michael Tretter
